The sights you saw, and the horrors you bore, I can never imagine. For cherished freedom you did kill, Though to do so made your body chill.
Without you all, our lands would fall, We give you thanks. You did what needed to be done, Every soul that fell a mother's son.
Remember we must, those times long past, And all who've fallen since. Liberty demands an awful cost,
